A tragic road accident occurred on the Badrinath Highway near Devprayag in Tehri, Uttarakhand, as a result in the death of five members of a single family from Faridabad, Haryana.The family’s vehicle lost control and crashed into the river near Bagwan, approximately 15 km from Devprayag towards Srinagar.

The family was traveling to Gauchar in Chamoli district to attend a wedding ceremony when the accident took place. The vehicle was retrieved from the river with the help of a crane. Five bodies were recovered, while one woman was rescued and is currently undergoing medical treatment in a hospital.
Total six people were traveling in the car, including the driver. The unfortunate incident turned what was meant to be a joyful journey into a devastating tragedy.
