A tragic road accident occurred in Tirupati district, Andhra Pradesh, on Monday, April 28, 2025, as a result Five Pilgrims Die d and two sustained serious injury .

The incident took place near Thotapalli in Pakhala when the car carrying the pilgrim’s rear ended collided with a container truck. All five died on the spot, while two others sustained serious injuries.
Police reached the accident spot after receiving the alert, sent the bodies for post-mortem and the injured to the hospital for treatment.
Victims:
The pilgrims were residents of Hosur, Tamil Nadu, and were returning home after visiting the Sri Venkateswara Temple in Tirumala, Andhra Pradesh.
Among the deceased:
- Two women
- Two men
- One child (9 years old)
Accident Details:
The car rear-ended with a container truck on the Putalapattu-Naidupeta National Highway. The impact was so severe that the car became lodged underneath the container, suffering extensive damage. Tragically, the accident scattered the deceased’s body parts around the site.
