
On March 30, 2025, at Palghar on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Highway, a flammable oil tanker (carrying kerosene oil) fell off the flyover at Masan Naka (Palghar).
At the time of the accident, national highway traffic was moving normally, and below the flyover, there were few vendors and a service road with ongoing traffic movement.
Around 4:55 PM, the accident occurred due to the driver losing control, causing the Oil tanker to fall off the flyover and catch fire.
Emergency traffic and rescue teams reached the spot immediately to clear the service road and manage the situation.
This is a common occurrence on Indian roads, which leads to severe injuries, property damage, and loss of life.
