Date: April 3, 2025,A 27 Years old police constable, K. Jagan, tragically died in a road accident after being hit by a truck near Tiruvalam village, close to Katpadi.
As per initial police reports, Constable Jagan had taken leave to attend a family function at his native place, Maniyambattu.
While riding his motorcycle to meet a friend in Tiruvalam village, a truck coming from the opposite direction collided with his motorcycle.
As a result of the impact, Jagan was thrown from his bike and hit a roadside tree, leading to his death on the spot due to severe injuries.As he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident

After receiving the information, the Ranipet (Sipcot) Police rushed to the scene and sent the body to the Taluk Hospital in Walajah.
A case has been registered, and the truck has been seized.

There are no excuses on the road mistakes can’t be undone. Ironically, a police constable who was responsible for enforcing helmet use lost his life for not following the same rule.
