
A devastating road accident claimed the lives of three family members early Saturday morning at Seshapuram in Bangarupalem Mandal, Chittoor district. The victims, residents of Warangal, were traveling from Bengaluru to Tirumala when their vehicle collided with a stationary bus.
Details of the Seshapuram Collision
According to local police reports, the accident occurred when a taxi rammed into the rear of a halted APSRTC bus. The impact of the crash was so severe that the car became lodged underneath the bus, resulting in immediate fatalities.
The deceased have been identified as:
- Sridhar Rao
- Lakshmi (Sridhar’s wife)
- Advika (Their four-year-old daughter)
All three victims died on the spot. The driver of the taxi sustained grievous injuries and was rushed to a nearby medical facility, where he is currently undergoing intensive treatment.
Police Investigation and Aftermath
Upon receiving the alert, the Bangarupalem police arrived at the scene to oversee the rescue operations. Emergency responders worked to extricate the vehicle and recover the bodies, which were subsequently shifted to the Chittoor Government Hospital for post-mortem examinations.
Authorities have officially registered a case and initiated a formal investigation into the circumstances leading to the collision. This incident highlights the ongoing concerns regarding road safety and stationary vehicles on high-traffic corridors.
