Poonch:
At least two people lost their lives while two others were injured in a tragic road accident that occurred at Jandrola in the Sathra Mandi area of Poonch district on Sunday, officials said.
Accident and Emergency Response
According to an official, soon after the mishap, emergency ambulances rushed to the scene and shifted the injured to the District Hospital Poonch. Despite medical intervention, two of the victims later succumbed to their injuries during treatment.
Deceased Identified
The deceased were identified as Chitinder Singh (54), son of Sukhdev Singh and a resident of Kamsar, and Kulbir Singh (50), son of Shiv Pal Singh, a resident near DIET Poonch.
Both victims reportedly sustained severe head injuries, which proved fatal.
Injured Under Treatment
The injured have been identified as Simrandeep Singh (38), son of Kuldeer Singh, and Harvinder Singh (56), son of Joginder Singh. Both are residents of the Radio Station area of Poonch and are currently undergoing treatment at the District Hospital Poonch.
Official Confirmation
Confirming the incident, Chief Medical Officer Poonch, Dr Parvaiz Ahmed Khan, stated that two persons died in the accident, while two others are receiving medical care.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident, and further investigation is underway to ascertain the exact cause of the accident.

The tragic incident has cast a pall of gloom over the region, with locals expressing sorrow over the loss of lives and praying for the speedy recovery of the injured.
