A tragic road accident occurred near National Highway 48, close to the Sahkari Jean area in Himatnagar, Rajkot, on Friday. The crash claimed two lives on the spot, while three others sustained critical injuries.
How the Accident Happened
According to reports, a car speeding from Shamlaji suddenly went out of control. The vehicle rolled over four times before coming to a halt. The impact was so severe that two passengers died instantly at the accident site.
Injured Rushed to Hospital
Three others were left critically injured in the mishap. Locals immediately informed the police and ambulance services. The injured were rushed to Himatnagar Civil Hospital for emergency treatment.
Fire Brigade Assisted in Rescue
The car was completely damaged due to the rollover. Fire brigade personnel were called in to assist with rescue operations, ensuring that the trapped passengers were safely pulled out of the wreckage.

Police officials have registered a case and launched an investigation into the accident. Authorities are examining the cause of the crash, with overspeeding being the primary suspected reason.
