At Banabatika, on the Ramanujganj–Mitgai road, a bike rider fell from a 15-feet-high bridge and died on the spot. The incident occurred at an open section of the bridge with no proper barricade. It was later reported to the Ramanujganj Police Station by a bystander. Police reached the accident spot and sent the dead body to the hospital for post-mortem.
The rider, a resident of Bijaynagaram (Balrampur–Ramanujganj District), was returning from Ramanujganj on Saturday, April 19. At Banabatika, due to an unbarricaded open section (referred to as a “poll”), the rider fell approximately 15 feet from the bridge.
He suffered severe head and body injuries and died on the spot. Unfortunately, his body was discovered about five hours later, around 10:00 AM, by bystanders one of whom informed the local police station.
Outcome of the Accident: A person went out from home and never returned.
His life might have been saved if medical attention was given within the golden hour.
