A tragic road accident claimed the life of a young girl who was traveling to Puri with her brother to see the Niladri Bije of Lord Jagannath. The accident occurred on 8th July 2025 Tuesday evening near Chandanpur, just a few kilometers from Puri, Odisha.

Both were from Salepur, were riding a two-wheeler towards Puri when a vehicle allegedly collided with their bike from behind, critically injuring both of them.
After the incident, both were immediately rushed to Puri District Hospital and later shifted to Bhubaneswar for advanced treatment. Unfortunately, the girl succumbed to her injuries during treatment.

- Check rear-view mirrors every 5 to 6 seconds and always before turning or changing lanes.
- Follow the “Stop-Look-Proceed” rule at junctions.
- Use indicators at least 100 meters before turning.
- Avoid distractions, always stay focused while driving.
- Ensure your bike has a working brake light,
- Retro-reflective tape, and wear bright-colored clothing for better visibility, especially at night or in low light conditions.
