Puducherry police arrested the two-wheeler owner who allowed teenager to ride his bike recklessly on a public road.As a result, a fatal accident occurred at Kamalaj Sarai (UT) on April 2, 2025.
Incident Details
According to Superintendent of Police and The Hindu News:
The bike owner (uncle of the teenager) was arrested for Fatal Road Accident in Puducherry, under Section 199(A) of the Motor Vehicles Act.
The teenager, who was riding a Pulsar bike, rammed into a scooter that was also being ridden by a teenager with a pillion rider.
The impact caused severe chest and head injuries to the scooter rider.where he succumbed to his injuries in the Government Hospital.
Following the incident, police arrested the teenager’s uncle for allowing him to ride the pulsar bike. Additionally, they have written to the Tamil Nadu RTO, requesting that a driving license not be issued to him until he turns 25, as he belongs to that state.
